From an early age I have always had a wild imagination. I began using my imagination to the max when I began inventing my own games to play with my brother and friends as a young child.
I've always had a passion for reading and writing and I wrote my first book when I was 14 years old.
Since then I've wrote a number of novels, the first book I wrote (and I'll be painfully honest here) it was awful. It was messy and incomprehensible. It was a new take on Twilight (I know. Don't judge. A lot of young girls went through that phase).
However, I have since improved and although I don't think my writing is the greatest piece of fiction on the planet (and no self-respecting author would ever think this about their own work) I do know my writing has improved a lot since then.
I self-published my first book this summer and I'm currently editing and formatting the second novel for it's release on 31st October 2014.
Home Schooled all my life, I chose not to take any GCSEs or A Levels. I was brought up learning that I shouldn't be who others want me to be, but rather, to be who I am.
Although I didn't take the normal qualifications in life, I have two Diplomas in Fiction Writing and Crime Writing (I got Distinctions in both, just so you know. I do have a little pride in me) and I am currently taking two more Diplomas alongside my University work. These two Diplomas are in 'Freelance Journalism' and 'Editing and Proofreading.'
I'm also writing two more novels. (It's all a lot of work on top of each other, but I love being busy).
When I do have some free time (which isn't often) I usually either go walking or spend time with my little brothers.
I love being outside and I hate being bored.
People always ask me, 'If you do all that, when do you have time to read?!' that answer is simple. I read whenever I can. Clean my room or read? Yeah... my room isn't as clean as it could be.
But this is me, following my dreams. I'm doing the things in life that I've only ever dreamed about doing, this blog for one has always been a dream of mine, because I've been lucky. I didn't follow the traditional methods of getting into university and while some people don't always agree with that, I feel proud that I've been able to achieve these goals. I may not have gone the traditional way, but I got in because I tried. I pushed myself to find another way to get in, did everything I could. I persuade my dreams because my mum showed me that if you really want something in life, you fight for it.
I owe my mum more than anyone else. If she'd done the traditional thing and placed me into state school, I know the person I am today. She let me explore my dreams, my passion and she was always supportive. She accepted my decisions because they were mine to make and she allowed me to become the person I needed and wanted to be. She let me grow, never clipped my wings. She accepted me for who I am. And I'm so thankful she home educated me, gave me the freedom most children can only dream of. I've been so lucky in the life I've been given.
Now I want to share the information I have been lucky enough to gain, with those who may not have had the chances in life that I have been granted. I want to give to others what has been given to me and though I've never got anything easily, there have been times when I've had to fight damn hard to take one step forward, overcome fears and accept flaws, I've made it to this point in my life and without the help of others along the way, I may not have made it this far.
