Christine Feehan is the author of the Ghostwalker series as well as three other, well respected book series.
She has written over 40 novels in her time and has won countless awards.
Blurb: Possessed of an extraordinary telekinetic gift, Dahlia Le Blanc has spent her life isolated from other people. And just when she thinks she’s finally achieved some semblance of peace, her well-orchestrated world comes crashing down...
For a reason she cannot guess, she has become the target of deadly assassins. Suddenly no place is safe - not even the secret refuge she’s established long ago. Now she must rely on Nicolas Trevane - a dangerous warrior sent to track her down and protect her. Together they generate a scorching heat Dahlia never imagined was possible. But can she trust this man with her secrets – especially when some people would kill to get their hands on them?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mind Game is the second book in the Ghostwalker series and is probably the starting point of the whole series.
We begin to find out just how deep the corruption goes, the influences Dr Whitney had and the amount of people who were caught up in his experiments.
The characters are really written, their abilities and backstories well thought out and the book is very well plotted.
Dahlia and Nicolas’ story is the beginning of the real action, which is why I’d suggest reading this book before the first if you didn’t want to be caught up in little action and a lot of information.
Although, saying that, the first book has it’s own hooks and I would still tell others to read it.
Feehan has crafted this series around the world we live in, as if showing us that there is more to life than what we see on the surface.
This book feels so realistic, that it makes you think about what really is out there and just how much we miss.
This is definitely a series all those who are looking for action and romance will not only love, but be left craving for more.
And when I say romance, I mean, hot romance which takes this book from a military action, to an action/romance.
