Josephine Anglini has written a three book trilogy. She is the youngest of seven daughters and has only one brother.
Helen Hamilton has always tried to hide how different she is—no easy feat on an island as small as Nantucket, and only getting harder as she finds herself haunted by hallucinations and vivid nightmares.
It's not until she crosses paths with Lucas Delos at school that Helen's true heritage is finally revealed. Yet even as Lucas helps her awaken to her startling powers, they can never be together—not unless they can break free from the tragic destiny the Three Fates have in store.

This is the first book in the Starcrossed series and it is an amazingly well-crafted novel. Anglini has managed to put together a mythological world centred round our own.
Using modern information in Greek mythology, it is the first book I’d ever read that has been written in such a way that it holds to true Greek mythology at the same time it is set as a YA romance.
The romance is intense and the action fast paced.
The story progresses with ease, the information seeming to flow onto the pages in a rhythmic sense, creating an almost hypnotic and entices entrancement that makes putting the book down, almost impossible.
It’s true what everyone is saying about this book, ‘Modern Mythology has never been sexier.’
If you love YA romance or any books which contain forms or mythology/paranormal then I think you’ll love this book just as much as me.
This is a Young Adult book (YA) which does contain mild sexual scenes (16+)
